[A Street Near Furinkan High, Afternoon]

Ranma was walking along the fence, Akane walking on the ground at the same 
pace. "Honestly Ranma, I don't see why you have to walk up there the whole 
time. I think you like look down on people!" 

Ranma jumped down and looked a little defensive, "Hey! I _only_ do it for 
balance practice!" Akane snorted, unconvinced. Ranma sighed and jump back up 
on the fence.

A little while later, Ranma noticed an object in the river. "Hey look... 
There something shiny in the water!" Akane looked. Sure enough, there was a 
small, shiny object floating in the middle of the river. Ranma went down the 
bank and tried to look closer. "I can't make it out." 


Akane squinted, but she couldn't make it out either. Ranma splashed a little 
water on himself, turning female. Akane was a little bemused, "Why'd you do 
that?" Ranma turned and said, "If I'm going to run out and get it, I need the 
speed of my female form!" Akane nodded and watched as Ranma moved back for a 
run-up.

"Kiiiiiiiiyyaaaaaa!!" Ranma-chan ran forward at full tilt and swept deftly 
across the water, grabbing the object as she went past it. She ran on to the 
other side and then went across the bridge, back to Akane. "What is it?" she 
asked.

Ranma held up the object. It was an ornately decorated bottle with strange 
insciptions on it. Neither Ranma nor Akane could recognize the letters on it.
"It's beautiful..." Akane whispered. Ranma smiled, "Yeah... and real valuable 
too, I'll bet!" She gave him a dark look and said, "Baka! Let's take it to Dr. 
Tofuu, he knows all sorts of things... Maybe he can tell us what it is!" Ranma
nodded, "Okay..." They walked off and headed for Dr. Toufuu's clinic.

[Dr. Tofuu's Clinic, A Little Later]

Ranma and Akane walked into the clinic and saw a familiar panda. "Hi Oyaji! Is
Toufuu-sensei in?" Ranma asked. Genma nodded and held up a sign [Want some hot 
water?] Ranma nodded, "Yeah, thanks!" The panda wandered off to find the water, 
just as Dr. Tofuu opened the door of the consulting room. An old lady teetered 
out and left. 

Dr. Tofuu came out and said, "Hello Ranma, Akane. What can I do for you?" 

Akane grabbed the bottle from Ranma and said, "We found this in the river, do 
you know what it is?" 

He took the bottle and said, "Well, now... Let's see..." He gave the bottle 
an appraising look, "Hmmmm... Arabic, 12th century. In excellent condition, 
too!" He smiled at their surprised looks, "Archaeology is a hobby of mine" 

Akane was popping with curiosity, "So what is it?" she asked urgently. The 
doctor shrugged, "Other than to say that it's an ancient Arabian bottle... 
there's not much to it. Still..." He tried to open it and failed. "The lid is 
stuck on... Who knows... maybe there's a genie in it!" he said with a wry 
smile. 

Akane smiled and took the bottle back. "Well, thank you Toufuu-sensei" She 
then walked out, dragging Ranma with her. Ranma smiled and said, "Hey did you 
hear that... A genie in a bottle, how cool!" 

Akane gave him a withering look, "Don't be stupid, Ranma. There's no such 
thing!" 

Akane would live to eat those words...

[Tendou Doujou, Early Evening]

Ranma sat at the table trying to pry the bottle open. "Stupid bottle... What
the hells holding this damned cap on anyway?!" he muttered. 

Akane sat across from him. She was rather ammused, "Why are you so eager to 
get that open?" 

Ranma looked up from his work and said, "If there's a genie inside and I can 
get him out, I might be able to get him to cure my curse!" Akane smiled, 
sometimes Ranma was so stupid he was almost cute. Almost...

After a while he gave up and threw the bottle on the floor in discust, "I give 
up!" Akane picked the bottle up and looked at it. "I think all you need to do
is clean out the space between the lid and the neck. She picked up an nailfile
and started to scrape the dirt out of the space. Soon it was all gone. She 
tried to open the lid, but without success. 

Ranma grabbed it from her, "Give it to me. I'm stronger!" She poked her tongue 
out at him, "Baka!" He did the same and then turned the lid. The lid popped 
off and a thick black plume of smoke poured out. "Help! It's on fire!" said 
Ranma, dropping the bottle. 

Eventually, the smoke coalessed into a human form...sort of. It had the upper 
body of a muscular Arabian man with a small black beard, but instead of legs,
his lower body remained a cloud of smoke. The figure spoke, "Greetings 
mortals. You have freed me from my prison of the last nine hundred years. I 
thank you most profoundly." He bowed. "I am Azzim. Royal Genie of the Great 
Ottoman Emporor Suleiman." 

Ranma looked triumphantly at Akane, "See I told you so!" Akane frowned at him 
and then looked at the genie. 

The genie looked at Akane and said, "Tell me... what land is this? I fear I 
have travelled far since my imprisonment..." 

Akane obliged and told him he was in Japan. He looked blank so she found a 
map and showed him. "I see... I have indeed wandered far. I must return to 
Arabia to serve the current Emporor." 

Akane looked a little nervous and said, "I'm afraid there is no Arab empire 
anymore." 

The genie was shocked, "No empire?... Oh dear..." he paused and looked at her 
hopefully, "Are you sure?" 

She nodded, "I'm afraid so..." 

The genie looked downcast to say the least. An odd look for a genie, Ranma 
thought.

"So, er... Azzim. How about our three wishes?" Ranma said cockily. 

The genie looked really befuddled now, "Wishes?" 

Ranma got a little annoyed, "Yeah, you know the drill. We release you and you 
give us three wishes!" 

The genie was shocked, "When did this happen?" 

anma rolled his eyes, "Only for about the last nine hundred... oh... Sorry..." 
He realised the genie had been in the bottle the whole time. 

Akane gave Ranma a cold look and said, "What will you do now?"

The genie looked a bit confused for a moment, and then slumped it's shoulders,
"I don't know... I've never been anything else but a genie..." 

Ranma was getting exasperated and was beggining to worry that he might not 
get his wish. "What are you worried about, all you have to do is wish for what 
you want!" 

The genie gave him one of those "You idiot!" type looks and said, "It doesn't work
like that... I can only channel the wishes of other" 

Ranma smiled, "So how about channeling a wish of mine?!" 

The genie gave him a hopeful look, "You wouldn't be an Arabian Emporor would 
you?" 

Ranma shook his head. The genie sighed, "In that case I can't" Ranma was 
lived, "What... Why not?!" 

The genie smiled wanly and said, "I can only serve an Arabian Emporor." 

Ranma nearly screamed from frustration, he had finally found a genie capable 
of curing his curse and it was a manic depressive... Just his luck!

Akane was getting annoyed with Ranma's selfishness. "Ranma stop just thinking 
of yourself and try to be a bit more helpful!" she scolded. 

Ranma snorted and said, "I'll help if he cures my curse!" 

The genie looked interested at that, "You're cursed?" he asked.

Ranma nodded. 

"How?" the genie asked, suddenly becoming rather animated. 

Ranma found a bucket of water and poured it on himself, "Voila!" 

The genie was rather surprised, "What a strange curse!" He put his hands 
together and cracked his knuckles, "Let's see... I haven't cured a curse in... 
oh... eight hundred years. I may be little rusty!" 

Onna Ranma looked somewhat disconcerted. 

The genie clicked his fingers and onna Ranma turned into a pot plant. "Hmmm...
I guess that's not it." He looked at Akane, "Unless you prefer him like this?"
She shook her head and he shrugged and clicked his fingers again. This time 
Ranma look like Sherlock Holmes, magnifying glass and all. "That's a good 
look...but it's not quite right." He tried again. Ranma was now a horse and 
looking rather wild. The genie was non commital, "This seems right in a 
strange way..." 

Akane did not agree, "Please... Keep trying!" 

The genie nodded and tried again. Now Ranma wore the form of Groucho Marx. 
While this was indeed ammusing, it was still not what they wanted. The genie 
spat on his hands and rubbed them together, "Okay here we go... I think I've 
got it this time" He clicked his fingers once more and Ranma appeared in male 
form. Akane ran over and hugged him, "Ranma you're back!" Ranma nodded, 
"Yeah... but I was beggining to worry!" he replied. Ranma turned to the genie 
and said, "Thanks!"

The genie bowed and said, "All genies are bound to help those who are cursed."

Ranma nodded and walked out of the room, "I've gotta go practice!" 

Akane watched him leave, "Baka! He was supposed to help you work out what to 
do!" 

The genie shrugged, "Maybe I am destined to spend another eight hundred years 
in the bottle." 

Akane was shocked, "Oh no!" 

The genie smiled, "Time is no matter for those who are immortal." 

She nodded and fell silent.

Ranma was just walking into the doujou when he was splashed with a bucket of 
cold water. "Oh! My beautiful Ranma-cha-" Happousai stopped mid sentence when
Ranma failed to change. "What?..." he said sadly. 

Ranma turned on him and said, "Things are going to be different around here... 
Now that I don't change anymore!" He grabbed an unresisting Happousai and 
beat him senseless, before punting him into the sky. "Pervert..." he muttered.

Ranma was practicing his kata in the doujou when Ryouga arrived. "Ranma! I 
will challenge you!" 

Ranma turned and gave Ryouga a bored look, "Whatever..." 

Ranma and Ryouga faced off. Ryouga was more powerful, but Ranma was faster 
and more skilled. Soon the latter began to tell, as Ryouga took a battering. 

Finally with one last punch, Ryouga crashed to the floor. "Bad luck Ryouga." 
Ranma said as he walked out, "Come again... If you can find us!" He sniggered 
as he walked away. 

Ryouga jumped up and ran after Ranma. He ran up and kicked Ranma into the 
pond. Ranma lept out of the water, enraged. "I guess you really want a 
pounding today, huh?" 

Ryouga stood stunned, Ranma had failed to change. He was so stunned that he 
did not react when Ranma grabbed him and hurled him into the water, turning 
him into P-chan. Ranma walked away, he'd had enough of Ryouga for one day, 
"Bakayarou!" he muttered, shaking his head. 

P-chan crawled out of the water and stewed.

Back in the house, Akane was suggesting professions for a genie, "...Plumber...
Lawyer...Artist...Restauranteur..." The suggestions were imaginitive to say 
the least. 

Ranma came in and said, "Why does he have to do anything?! If I had that 
power I'd just enjoy myself!" Akane gave him a dirty look, "Well... It's a 
good thing you don't!" Ranma shrugged and sat down. 

After a while, even Akane had to admit that there wasn't much work in the 
genie business in the twentieth century. 

"Oh well... I guess I'll just have a look around this new world. However... 
since you have been so kind to me... I will grant you each three wishes!" 
Ranma and Akane both looked pleased at this.

"All you need do is speak the wish out loud and it will come true." the genie 
said. They both nodded. "Goodbye!" said the genie and disapeared. 

Ranma looked at Akane, "That was weird!" Akane, still thinking about the 
strange visitor, walked up to her room and did her homework. 

"I DON'T BELIEVE IT!" Akane heard Ranma shout. She ran down the stairs and 
found everyone gathered around the bathroom door. "What's happening?" she 
asked. The others all shrugged, indicating they had no idea. 

Suddenly onna Ranma stormed out of the bathroom wearing a towel, "That idiot! 
He botched it! Now the effect is reversed!" Akane was nonplussed, "N-nani?" 

Ranma gave her an angry look and said, "Hot water turns me female and cold 
turns me male! That stupid genie just reversed them!... I'm still cursed!" 

Akane sighed and said, "Fine... I wish you wern't cursed, Ranma." Ranma 
snorted, "Yeah... and I wish you could cook... but wishing don't make it 
true!" She suddenly stopped and looked at Akane. "Did we just do what I think we did?" she asked 
slowly. Akane nodded, "Y-yes..." The others were all looking rather bemused. 

"What's going on here?" asked Nabiki. "Yes. What is all this?" added Souun.
Soon they were all asking questions and Ranma and Akane were forced to 'fess 
up. 

"So..." said Soun slowly, "You have each been granted three wishes... and
you have just each used one?" They nodded. "So you can wish for a cure for 
me?" asked Genma excitedly. "Get off it, Pop. I'm not wasting a wish on you!"

"Why you..." Genma exploded and he and Ranma proceeded to do battle all over 
the house. After they had finished... and Genma had turned into a panda, they
returned to the table. "So what will you do with the wishes?" asked Kasumi.

Ranma smiled, "I was thinking of wishing that Kunou had a Jusenkyou curse and 
turned into a mule! But that's a waste... and even Kunou doesn't deserve a 
curse like that!" 

Akane smiled a little and said, "I'm not really sure what I want..." 

Soun grabbed them and pushed them close together, "Why not both wish you were 
in love with the other and then you could get married!" 

"Otousan!" Akane scolded. 

Ranma gave him a funny look, "Yeah... that'd be a waste, too!" 

Nabiki suddenly looked interested, "Why?... are you already in love?" she 
said smoothly. 

Ranma snorted, "Not likely! The chances of us being in love about equal to... 
to..." he struggled for an annalogy. Nabiki helped him out, "Finding a Genie?" 
Ranma face faulted and fell over. 

In the end, they decided there was nothing they cound do but go to bed and 
think about the wishes. 

[Tendou Doujou, Morning]

Akane got up and did her usual routine to the sound of Ranma and Genma 
fighting. They appeared to be arguing about the use of wishes. She came down 
and sat at the breakfast table. Ranma and the panda came in. "Watch it Oyaji, 
or I'll wish you were a panda permanetly!" 

Genma paled and tried to fade into the wood work. After a quick breakfast, 
Akane and Ranma ran off to school. 

[Furinkan High, A Little Later]

As they arrived, Ranma prepared for his morning battle with Kunou. Ranma 
looked at the clock, "Three...Two...One...Now!" 

Right on cue, Kunou arrived, "Ranma Saotome, I shall smite you and take back 
my loves!" 

Ranma mouthed the words along with Kunou, a bored expression on his face. 
Kunou rushed him and Ranma just stood there. Just as Kunou was about to 
strike, Ranma said, "I wish you'd just go away Kunou... Permanently!" Kunou 
suddenly winked out of existance! 

Akane was shocked, "Ranma! Where did you send him?" Ranma shrugged, "Who cares 
as long as he's out of our lives!" 

Akane sighed and followed Ranma to class. They arrived to find Miss Hinako 
had already started. "Great!" said Ranma, without enthusiasm, "We're late. 
She'll nail us for sure!" 

Akane nodded and they walked in. "Mr. Saotome and Miss. Tendou. You're late! 
I'll have to punish you!" 

She pulled out her coin, "Yoiko no Taizo: Step 1!" She started to move the 
coin in a circle. 

Akane smiled and said, "I wish Hinako-sensei didn't have that power!" 

Miss Hinako finished her coin trick and was most surprised when nothing 
happened, "What?!" she squeeked. 

Ranma went over and ruffled her hair. "Whatcha gonna do now, teach?" 

She looked up at him and said, "You wait Mr. Saotome. I'll tell Prinicipal 
Kunou!" 

Ranma walked to his seat, "Ha! Tell him what? We stole your power?... Yeah... 
Right!" 

[Tendou Doujou, Afternoon]

Ranma and Akane arrived home from school. "Well..." said Ranma, "We've got 
one wish left each!" Akane nodded, looking troubled. He saw her expression 
and said, "What's wrong?" 

She sighed, "I'm not sure that these wishes were a good idea!" 

He shrugged, "Oh... I dunno... They have been fun!" 

She smiled and said "I think we should do something good with the last two 
wishes!" 

He looked rather chairy at this, "Er... What did you have in mind?" 

She smiled and said, "Well... you should change your father back and I was 
going to wish that we could get along." 

He was stunned, "You want to use a wish on US?!" 

She nodded, "I'm tired of all the fighting. I want to just put all the 
nastiness behind us so we can be happy." 

Ranma was absolutely flabegasted, "But... but..." It suddenly occured to him 
that it probably made sense and he shouldn't fight. He took her hand in his 
and smiled, "Okay... If that's what you want..." 

She nodded and smiled at him. They found Genma and Ranma said, "Ok, Oyaji! 
You owe me big for this. I wish you wern't cursed anymore!" 

Genma turned human and looked extatic. "Hooray!" he shouted. He ran out and 
jumped into the pond. Seeing he was still human, he gave another shout, 
"Whaaaaahahahoooooo!" Ranma smiled and went back in with Akane. They sat on 
the floor, facing each other.

Ranma held Akane's hands in his and looked her in the face, "Are you sure 
about this?" he asked quietly. 

She nodded almost imperceptably. "Yes," she whispered, "I'm sure." 

He nodded and said, "Okay..." 

Just as Akane spoke, Genma, Kasumi and Souun entered. Akane looked into 
Ranma's eyes and said, "I wish we were in love!" 

Ranma looked shocked for a moment. She hadn't told him she was going to say 
that! The look lasted only a second as the wish took effect. He looked at 
Akane and said, "I love you." 

She smiled and said, "I love you, too, Ranma" They moved close together and 
kissed. When the kiss ended, Ranma said, "This wish really works!" 

Souun could contain himself no longer, "Well done, son! I am so happy!" He 
started to cry. Ranma and Akane suddenly noticed them all staring at them and 
blushed. 

Kasumi smiled and said, "How romantic... To wish for love..." 

Genma nodded, "Truely a wise use of a wish!" 

Akane and Ranma, now both very embarrased, ran upstairs. They went into 
Akane's room, ostensibly to do homework, but were soon sitting on her bed, 
kissing...  

Later they came down to dinner. Nabiki was sitting at the dinner table when 
they arrived. "Having a nice time?" she asked smarmily. Akane and Ranma 
smiled at each other and blushed a little. The rest of the family arrived and
they began to eat. During the meal, Kasumi asked, "When are you going to get
married... now that you are getting along so well?" 

Ranma and Akane stopped and looked at each other. "Urr...ummm..." Ranma 
stammered. "Were still getting used to this... don't rush us!" Akane added. 

The fathers smiled stupidly, Kasumi smiled innnocently and Nabiki sat there, 
a troubled look on her face. This was too good to be true. The curses gone, 
Akane and Ranma getting along. It was too good to last, she thought... and 
she was right...

[Tendou Doujou, Morning]

Ranma was out in the doujou when Akane found him. He stopped his practice and 
came over to her. He kissed her and said, "I'm so glad we used the last wish 
this way." 

She nodded and gave him a hug. "Come inside... breakfast is ready. I made it 
myself!" 

Ranma looked nervous then remembered, "Hey... you can cook now, can't you?!" 

She looked a little peeved but nodded. He followed her to the house and sat 
at the table. She brought out several plates of steaming food. Amazingly, 
they looked like something Kasumi would make. 

"Hey!" said Ranma, "This looks really good!" 

Akane smiled, "You think so?" 

He picked up his chopsticks and tasted it. He ate several pieces before he 
said, "It's great! Those wishes really work!" 

She smiled at first then turned a bit sour. "What do mean wishes?" she asked. 

"Well, you couldn't have cooked this otherwise!" He looked up and saw her 
hurt expression. He suddenly felt a pang of remorse, "I... I-I'm s-sorry, 
Akane..." 

She looked up at him, tears in her eyes, "Why did you say that?" she 
whispered. 

"I-I guess I didn't think." he mumbled.  

She accepted this and said, "We'd better hurry or we'll be late!" He smiled 
and said, "So what? Miss Hinako can't do anything to us anymore!" They ate 
their breakfast and then moved off to school, hand in hand.

[Furinkan High, A Little Later]

Ranma and Akane recieved some strange looks as the walked through the gate, 
still holding hands. They walked straight into the building and headed for 
class. "I guess Kunou hasn't come back from wherever I sent him!" Ranma mused.

Akane smiled, but looked a little annoyed, "You didn't have sent him away, you
know!" 

He shrugged, "Kunou'll be back sooner or later!" 

They went to class and tormented the now harmless Miss Hinako. At lunch they 
sat under a tree and ate the lunch Akane had prepared for them. There seemed 
to be much constenation among the other students, due to both Ranma and 
Akane's behavior and Kunou's disapearance. From far away, Hikaru Gosunkugi 
watched Akane feeding Ranma. 

<That fool Saotome!> he thought, <Using magic to ensnare Akane! I will break 
that spell!>

After lunch, Ranma and Akane returned to class and sat in a state of boredom, 
each itching to touch the other. Finally class ended and they walked home, 
slowly. 

"This is so nice..." said Akane softly. "If only we could have done this long 
ago.." she added. 

Ranma nodded, "Yeah, and saved all that trouble!" 

They walked the rest of the way in silence, each thinking about the other. 
Suddenly Gosunkugi lept out and tried to stab Ranma through the heart with a 
nail. Ranma sidestepped and smacked Gosunkugi in the back of the head, "What 
are you doing?" he asked. 

Gosunkugi got to his feet and said, "I know that you have enchanted Akane, 
and I will do everything in my power to break that spell!" 

Ranma smirked, "In that case, I don't have much to worry about... Your magic 
doesn't work!" he said, walking away, arm in arm with Akane.

[Tendou Doujou, Evening]

Ranma and Akane sat at the dining table alone. The rest of the family had 
gone out, in order to give them time alone. "You know, I think your dad is 
getting a little oversealous about this." Ranma remarked. 

Akane frowned, "Don't you want to be alone with me?" she asked tersely. 

He smiled a her and said, "Of course I do. It's just that he didn't have to 
throw himself out of his own house!" 

Akane moved closer and said, "Well, I'm glad he did!" Ranma kissed her and 
said, "Me, too!" They forgot the meal and lay on the the floor, kissing.

[Gosunkugi's House, At The Same Time]

Gosunkugi looked at a huge book case, filled with old spell books and other 
tomes of `supposed' knowledge. He hadn't been able to successfully cast a 
spell yet... But maybe he could remove one. He grabbed a book on counterspells 
and sat down. "Hmmmmm... Lets see... Removing enchantments... Aha!" He read 
for a while and then began to laugh, "Hahahahaha! Now I've got you, Saotome!"

[Tendou Doujou, Late Evening]

The family arrived home and found Ranma and Akane in her room...

Studying! 

Nabiki was dispointed, "You mean you didn't... You know!" she said with a 
conspiritorial smile.

Akane was shocked, "Oneechan! How can you say that?!" 

Ranma was a little annoyed, "Why? What's wrong with me?!" 

She turned to him, "Nothing... but you don't do that until you're married!" 

Ranma shrugged, he wasn't sure he agreed with that. 
Nabiki left, looking disapointed. Ranma looked disapointed too. He wished 
he'd thought of THAT! After a while, Ranma and Akane gave up on their work 
and reluctantly parted for the night. 

[Tendou Doujou, Morning]

At breakfast, Ranma and Akane kept giggling and smiling at each other. The 
rest of the family was glad to see them together, but were beggining to get a
little sick of the mushy goings on. After breakfast, Ranma and Akane walked 
off to school.

[Furinkan High, A Little Later]

Ranma and Akane walked in the gate and up towards the building. "Kunou's 
still not back." Ranma noted. Suddenly someone ran past and pulled out one 
of Ranma's hairs. "Hey!" he shouted. He looked at Akane and saw that she was 
rubbing her head, too. Ranma ran after the receeding figure, "How dare you do 
that to Akane!" he shouted. 

Gosunkugi ran like the wind, but Ranma was physically superior and quickly 
caught him. He kicked Gosunkugi in the back and knocked him to the ground. 
"You're lucky, Gosunkugi! If it had been anyone else, I might have bashed 
them. But you're not worth the effort! And don't touch Akane ever again!" 

Ranma was so menacing that Gosunkugi could only sit and quivver. After he 
recovered, he smiled. Ranma may have beaten him... but he had what he needed. 
A physical part of each of the participants in the spell! 

Ranma and Akane had a relatively normal day and headed home as soon as class 
ended. 

[Tendou Doujou, Afternoon]

Ranma went out to the doujou to do some practice and Akane watched TV. As 
evening came on, Akane went out to the doujou and found Ranma sweating 
profusely and pounding on a board. She stood behind him for a while, watching
his muscular body work. Finally she said, "You'd better come in, dinner will 
be ready soon!" 

He jumped and turned around. "Oh! Is it dinner already?" She nodded. He 
shrugged, "Okay... just few more minutes..." He proceeded to batter the board 
and finally shattered it with a punch. 

Akane came back over and handed him a towel, "Here!" 

He took it and smiled, "Thanks" They then walked back into the house. "I'd 
better take a bath." he said. Without waiting for a reaction, he went into 
the bathroom and undressed. He poured a bucket of water over himself and then 
climbed into the bath. He sat for a while, letting the heat flow through him, 
relaxing his tense muscles. He shut his eyes and sighed.

<The new way I feel with Akane is so good!> he thought, <All of the angst and
animosity is gone... and she can cook!> His thoughts were interupted by a 
pair of hands, that were definitely not his, rubbing his shoulders. He opened 
his eyes and looked up to find Akane rubbing his neck. He jumped, "What are
you doing?" he asked, unnerved. 

She smiled and said, "Helping you unwind." 

Ranma looked dubious for a moment and then smiled, "Winding me up is more 
like it!" he said suggestively. Finally he decided that enough was enough. 
"Um... Akane?" he probed. 

"Yes?" she replied. "I think you'd better stop that... before we get into 
trouble... What if your dad found out?!" 

Akane shrugged, "We could do IT on the dinner table and he wouldn't mind, as 
long as we're together!" 

Ranma gave her a funny look. Eventually he convinced her to leave and he was 
able to get out. 

At dinner Ranma was rather quiet. He was wondering where things were going. 
Akane was being a little more forward than he liked. <Oh well...> he thought,
<It's better than fighting.> After dinner, Ranma and Akane went and tried to 
study, but failed... and ended up on her bed, kissing passionately...

[Gosunkugi's House, At The Same Time]

Gosunkugi sat in the centre of a large chalk circle with a pentagram in it 
and had candles on the five points of the star shaped pattern. In each hand 
he held one of the hairs for his spell. In front of him was the book with the 
spell in it. He read the passage for the hundredth time and then closed his 
eyes, going over the spell in his mind. 

If it worked, the enchantment on Ranma and Akane would be broken, if not, he 
would be torn apart by the magical forces. He'd be happy in either case. 
Either Ranma and Akane would break up again, or he would die... having 
successfully cast a spell. The way he saw it, he couldn't loose. He raised 
his hands and began to chant...

[Tendou Doujou, Evening]

Ranma and Akane were lying on her bed and had a considerable amount less on 
than they had before. Akane was clad only in her underwear and Ranma was
likewise, down to his boxer shorts. He kissed her neck and she groaned in 
pleasure...

[Gosunkugi's House, At The Same Time]

Gosunkugi chanted loudly and raised his hands higher. He could feel the spell
working...

[Tendou Doujou, At the Same Time]

Ranma had removed Akane's bra and was kissing her breast. She pushed his face 
down as lust flowed through her. It was all she had dreamed of and much 
more...

[Gosunkugi's House, At The Same Time]

Gosunkugi shouted the words of the chant one last time, and cast the hairs 
into the flames of a small fire in front of him... "At last!" he shouted, 
"The spell is broken!" 

[Tendou Doujou, At The Same Time]

Ranma and Akane both jerked, then looked at each other. "What are we doing?" 
asked Akane softly. 

Ranma got off her and looked embarressed, "I have no idea!" he said, putting 
his trousers back on. 

Akane looked at him and said, "Something has happened to the wish!" 

He looked at her and a horrible thought crossed his mind. He grabbed a nearby 
glass of water and poured it over himself. Sure enough, he turned female. 
"Oh no!" she groaned. 

"I wonder what happened?" Akane murmered. 

Ranma shrugged, "I don't know...but it was nice while it lasted." 

Akane looked at her and said, "Why can't it continue?" 

"Because I'm back to being inconsiderate, and you can't cook again!" she 
replied. 

Akane frowned, but still felt good about Ranma and ignored it. "I think we 
can keep going if we try!"  

Onna Ranma stared, "A-are you sure?" she asked. 

Akane got up and kissed her, "Yes..." Onna Ranma kissed her back and then 
said, "I'll just go and let you get dressed..." 

Akane smiled, "It's a little to late for that!" she said. 

Ranma nodded in agreement, but looked away nonetheless. After she was dressed 
again, Akane came over and said, "It's okay... I like you Ranma. I'm just not 
ready yet..." 

Ranma smiled and hugged her, "It's okay... You think we can keep this up?" 
Akane nodded. Ranma put her arm gingerly around Akane and said, "I guess it's 
worth a try."

[Furinkan High, Morning]

Gosunkugi was waiting triumphantly near the building for Akane to arrive. 
<Now Ranma and Akane will be fighting again... And I will be back in with a 
chance!> he thought cheerfully. Unfortunately, Gosunkugi's spell had countered 
all the wishes and Kunou had mysteriously popped back into existance.

Ranma and Akane walked in the gate. They were not holding hands, but were 
close together. Kunou ran up and took a swing at Ranma, who ducked. "Kunou?!
What are you doing here?!" Ranma asked, rather surprised. 

Kunou stopped and smiled evilly, "What, indeed! After you used your foul 
magic to transport me to China, I fought many foes but did not fall! Now is 
the time for payment, Fiend!" 

He attacked Ranma, who dodged all of his blows and then chi blasted him into 
a large, thorny shrub. Ranma walked back over to Akane, who was waiting for 
him. "I guess things are back to normal!" he said. She nodded and took his 
hand. They walked up to the door and stopped. 

Gosunkugi was kneeling on the ground crying. "It's not fair! It's not fair!" 
he moaned. "What's your problem?" Ranma asked. Gosunkugi looked up and said, 
"I broke your spell, Ranma! Why are you still with Akane?" 

Ranma looked surprised for a moment, "One of your spells worked?..." He 
looked at Akane and then said, "So that's what happened!" 

Akane nodded and walked into the building. Ranma stepped over Gosunkugi, 
kicking him on the way past. "Get a grip, Gosunkugi!" 

Ranma and Akane went up to class and opened the door. Inside, Miss Hinako 
turned to face them, "Ah, Mr. Saotome! Miss Tendou! About your behavior over 
the last few days..."

Ranma and Akane looked at each other in horror...

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHGGGHHH!!!!!"
