A what-if story, the fic has Ranma buy the customary piece of cursed
jewelry from a vendor, and make the customary "I-wish-I-hadn't..." wish.
This time, the wish is that he didn't have all these girls chasing him.
Wham, he wakes up having been a girl from birth. And engaged to Kuno. And
Ryoga. And Mousse. And Tsubasa. And Ukyo?
No, not Ukkyo. Obviously, this bit needs redoing...
Sadly, the fic ends just as it begins to get interesting. That annoyed
me a bit; it felt like the author had gotten tired of writing the story
and had quickly wrapped it up.
Actually, that was the intended ending; I felt it was a "funny
once" proposition, and carrying it on too long would have been even
worse.
Ranma takes his situation with rather un-Ranmalike calm.
I excised the three pages of Ranma in the bathroom trying cold
and hot water and screaming and bitching so I could get on with the
story. This Ranma is a bit more experienced than some, if not more
mature. He quickly realizes that his own stupid wish got him into this,
and he should explore his situation before reverting to gripe mode. And
initially, the benefits do seem to outweigh the problems :-)
Enjoyable, but I finished it feeling a bit irked at the sudden cutoff.
Ah well, better luck next time.
