Akane Gets Kidnapped. . .again. , by Plunger

   I'm still laughing. Loved it.
   The fic is a satire on the plot element consantly overused by not only
us humble fic artists, but by the Great Takahashi herself.

Oh, I don't know about that.  It's true that that plot is way overused in
fanfic, but I can only think of four occassions where Akane gets
kidnapped in the actual manga:  Once by Mousse (the duck-girl story, if
you will), once by Pantyhose Taro, once by either Mint or Lime at the
beginning of the Herb storyline (I always get those two mixed up.  And
this one's a pretty ticky-tack call), and then by Saffron's minions in the
final storyline.  While this does mean she gets kidnapped more often than
the average person, it hardly seems to me that this constitutes "overuse"
over the course of 38 tankouban.  I'm not counting the anime (TV or
movies) as Takahashi had little, if anything, to do with them...
