But he's a priest not a mage, therefor he wouldn't make a wizard or
anything similar.
Again, even in the manga, his shelves are littered with bits of occult, not
just candles and shinto items. And voodo magic is hardly priestly. He is
into ANY type of magic. Ep #136 shows this rather clearly.

It's not voodoo exactly ... it's the Japanese version of it. And anime is
non canon...

But Manga IS cannon. In the manga, his shelves had all sorts of stuff on
it, not just priestly items. In fact, the ONLY priestly thing on his
shelves was candles... and I can comfortably say that candles are used in
witchcraft as well.

It's up to you. I'm not against Gos or anything. I just don't like people
making semi-saints out of people who are definately not saints. Same goes
for Ukyou. I'm not against her. I just like to argue that she's not the
wonderful person everyone wants to think she is.

I'm not saying Gosunkugi's any sort of saint, I'm just saying he's not some
evil jerk people seem to want to make him out to be. My poin: He's the
most harmless and the most likely to be nice to Ranma and Akane at any
given time. By nature, he's generally inoffencive, or there'd be more
instances of him doing violent things, (which, I think, would be terribly
out of character if he suddenly went bonkers and bent himself on
destruction). I didn't say he was a saint, just the least dangerous and
the least severe.
