I must admit to being a bit puzzled by this part. Parts 1 to 9 where
spent slowly building a relationship between Ukyo and Ryoga...and, may I
add, the most believable Ukyo/Ryoga relationship I've ever seen. Far too
many others have a tendency to happen like this -

Okay, well maybe not quite that bad. But there's an awful lot of love
poitions and instant love in those stories, and its nice to see a slow,
gradual growing together.
And then you throw in Akari, Uncle Rumiko's Instant Spouse. I'm not
sure which way this is gonna go, but I can see a few options....
(A) Ryoga and Akari fall in love and marry. Then why the whole Ukyo
buildup? The Ryoga/Ukyo relationship was even _advanced_ in this part;
Ukyo got so concered about him that she yelled at "Ranchan".
(B) The next episode will permanently break up Ryoga and Akari. I like
this theory, mostly cuz I've been loving the relationship building going
on between Ryoga and Ukyo.
(C) A romantic triangle, in which the progtagonist (a young man with
unusual powers) tries to decide between
(a) the cute but somewhat moody girl who works at a restaurant (and
whose feelings he isn't entirely sure of)
(b) the cute and rather bubbly girl who likes him, a lot, and has no
problem declaring this quite often.

Seriously, I think a prolonged triangle isn't wholly impossible (well,
maybe it is, if Misa-chan wants this fic to end (a) soon and (b) with all
outstanding relationships solved), and I like the fact that the author
suggests this possibility (even if it turns out to be a red herring). Plot
twists are interesting, after all, and Ryouga working for his answers is
fun to watch. I'm not real up on Ranma canon, but I *think* that he's
spent a good part of the series liking both Akane and Akari, so his
indecisiveness fits into this sort of pattern. He should decide, but will
he?
Also, if I see another "Ukyo-pines-away" fic I'm gonna scream. :)
I haven't seen part B yet. Is this me, or was there a posting delay? (Know
all about those. :P)
I haven't seen it, either, as of 7/3 21:58 PDT .
