Frankly, I know very little about seppuku. I know that Ranma would be
forced to commit it if he had failed in becoming a man. Some people have
said that the way I had him kill himself was a little anti-climactic, but
I'm not sure how else to do it. I don't want to build to his "suicide".
That doesn't seem quite "real" enough, I guess. I mean, how do you build
up suspense to the death of your main character, especially if he wants
it to happen, and nothing's gonna stop him? He felt he had failed, and so
he handed his life over to his mother. I'd like to think that it's out of
love that she killed him, but you can think what you'd like. :)
Anyway, whether it's more honorable or whatever, that's the way it
happened. :)
Well, you should try to change it so that Ranma himself commits seppuku,
not that his mum just kills him. Go look up how it's done or something,
if you don't know... But basically, the person killing himself cuts open
his stomach, and then the second chops off his head (not chops his head
in half)...
Kun-chan...
