[Reposted from the Megami ML. Part 3 of 5]
I'll tell you, the response has been overwhelming for these.
Over a hundred messages on this list! Sorry if the traffic
is too much...
OK, not. Actually, I got one e-mail message, and that's it.
You're not trying, people! Anyway, you think this will stop
me? Ha! I laugh in the face of indifference.
Anyway, I said I'd do Ranma X-overs this time. Of course, I
find three new ones today. Oh well, they'll be reviewed
later.
"Aa! Megami-Sensei!" by Peter Ward
Pretty good, but I'm not an Urd fan. No major problems, and
introduces new characters. But it hasn't stuck in my mind. @
"Moonlight and Cherry Pie" by White Wolf
Probably the best of the Ranma X-overs that I've read, this is
basically a Ranma story with Skuld. Lots of Akane cooking
jokes. Very funny.
"Akane's Delerium" by Stuart George
I couldn't bring myself to finish this. Parodying a comedy
is always dangerous, and this time it just utterly fails to
work. Urd and Skuld are badly mis-characterized. Not
recommended.
"Oh! Ranma-Sama" by Richard Beaubien
Competent, but dull. Belldandy is the only AMG cross. @
"Improbable Encounter" by Ricardo Martinez
Excellent. A short vignette with Ranma and Keiichi, this
is short and to the point. No wasted words. A treat.
"Timelines" by Mark Latus
This has an alternate Belldandy and Keiichi (ex-ninja!)
involved in the dark world of the Ryoga Crossover series.
This one isn't as depressing as the others. Very well-
written, though incomplete.
The others I haven't read yet, but I'm getting to them.
Next up (tomorrow): Tree of Doom, and the Urd-based
fanfics.
I'm probably not going to review Meta-Matics, or that new
one with Malice in the title that I can't recall, because
I hate depressing fanfics. If the authors let me know that
they'll end happily, I'll be happy to review them. I know
that Growing Pains is dark, but at least the core is AMG;
Belldandy and Keiichi are in love, and so forth.
Sorry if this annoys you, see you tomorrow!
