Sayth Nightelf:
Good Lord. Now THAT's dark. Is it a parody, or was it written as a
serious piece?
It was a serious piece, all right, called "Childhood's End". I've only
found
a beta version (at least I think it was beta) on the Fanfic ML archives.
Look up #217 of the second group of archives on the homepage.

Ben sent me a copy, and I gotta revise my earlier statement. It's about
as dark as an episode of "The Smurfs". Okay, Ranma does die at the bottom
of a well...but except for that it seems to be a comedy. It was a truly
weird story, and had some plot holes you could drive a Mack Truck through.
Not that bad overall, but in need of patching and a different ending.
No, the darkest I've seen so far is Winter's Tale. Very tragic story...
