from T.B. would be appropriate here...

You want the plural. 


'The questioning, voices asking him questions...'

Repetitive.  Replace either 'questioning' or 'questions' with an appropriate 
synonym.

On the same note, try to find other words to use in place of 
'Veritech'.

'...the remaining protagonist.'

protagonist: n. 1. the chief person in a drama. 2. one of the chief
contenders in a contest. 3. (incorrect use, as if the opposite of
'antagonist') an advocate or champion of a cause, etc.

antagonist: n. an opponent, one who is hostile to something.

I think you want the latter, ne? ^_^
