Not quite the same situation in "Split Personalities", and a totally 
different sort of story.  It could even be argued that (technically) 
Ranma & Ranko aren't related in SP.  Need a better hairsplitter than me

I think the idea of using Ranko as one of Ranma's
fiancee is very *cute* and it might solve a few problems too ^^....after
all Ranko could easily beat the crap out of Shampoo, Ukyou, Kodachii, and
especially Akane ^^

Um... Ranko got triple-teamed by the Kendo club and basically lost.  The 
old Akane could take on dozens of opponents and clean their clock.  On 
the evidence available, Ranko (who is younger) isn't quite up to the 
original Akane's standard, and the other fiancee's were all better 
fighters than Akane.

In "Careful Destiny" Ranko and Akane are probably fairly close in skill, 
and training hard, but neither is currently a real match for Ranma or 
anyone capable of pushing him.  Kunou could probably beat the girls 
fairly easily, if he was willing to actually hit them.

The "original" Kodachi should be able to handle either Ranko or Akane as 
things stand, but a concentrated training scheme from Ranma would make 
things much more even.

But it would be cool to put Ranko in the fight...just to
see what would happen.  Besides, Genma would probably
support the marriage ^_^

Not while Nodoka was around.  Though it would eliminate any possible 
rivalry over who inheirits the family school. ;-)

Ranko seems like a VERY viable challenger and plus there's
no need to contrive a third fiancee for Ranma to parallel
the old universe.

Ranma can accumalate even *MORE* girls in this timeline. ^_^

Although I can't see Ranko ever making to the "official" list, even if 
she does somehow decide that she wants her brother.
