Well, I'm writing a game of multi-player Java Blackjack...and I need to
have your opinion...

Since my Java Blackjack will be real-time multi-player (type in opponent's ip
address or possibly choose opponents from a list) I wanna know how I should
handle the money for each player.  Should every player start out with certain
amt. of cash and then every so often, they get more "cash"?  Or should it be
that if you lose all your cash, you're out for good(i'm not banning IP's
because some people including me don't have fixed IP) and you'll just have
to make a new name?

Status: Planning stages so far.  Bought book: "Teach Yourself Java in 21 Days".
        Developed simple method for drawing card faces in real time(no 
        downloading every single card face!), developed some of the actual
        game engine.  Developed remote-player retrieval method.  Still
        developing a method to send data back and forth(to account for network
        lag, detecting when the other guy's not there, etc...is that really
        as simple as it seems?)  Very little coding so far.. but I've done
        a lot of paper work and I'm not backing out now.  It will run in its
        own window (simple, actually) to allow you to keep web-browsing or to 
        shut off your browser.

Why I put Status there: so you know you're not wasting your time writing me
                        about this.

Has this ever been done before?  If so, I'd better code a different card game...

You know.... there MUST be something Freudian about using caps lock all

Forgive me for rambling, but it's like my sister using the hi-liter to
emphasize certain parts of her notes...she always ends up hi-liting the whole
page.  It's funny, ya know..I guess too much emphasis creates incoherency.

Sorry about that outburst. Sometimes I just like to let my mouth, er, keyboard
wander.
