Probably the program . I use Micrsoft word up at the college and I have 
absolutley no idea how to use it efficeinetly . When I use it for Text 
Files the thing won't allow me to use it's advance features , so I end up 
butchering it to elminate text wrap .

Set the font to Courier 10pt - this pretty much how ascii text is.  When you
dump to an ascii file from Word - there should be little adjustment needed.
