                I go with the Defiant. Persoanlly I don't really like 
the Enterprise-D as much as Enterprise-A. Enterprise-A and Voyager be 
my favs.
                The Defiant was supposed to be a ship built to battle 
the Borg. Pop Quiz hot shot: The Borg kicked the crap outta the first 
time and then proceeded to take on the entire fleet and blow them up 
too. The Defiant is Starfleet's answer to the Borg (of sorts).
                Considering it's a battle ship. Thus it's armoured up 
the butt, got a slew of weapons and a cloak. Bad side: Starfleet got 
smart and learned how to detect a cloak... dohs!
                Now the Enterprise-D was not made for war. Yes she's 
been mondified and been in war but I don't think she's been built for 
war, more exploration then anything else. Yes she has weapons and can 
easily go into battle. I think the bottom line is who's _writing_ the 
episode. ;)
                Course techinacly Defiant can't take on the 
Enterprise-D, mostly because she be toast. Now the Enterprise-E, now 
that's something to talk about, course as soon as the new movie comes 
out with the Borg as the main baddies... yay!

            How bout Voyager take on the Enterprise. Or Defiant and V 
take on Enterprise. ;) Ekkkk....one of these what if threads....run 
away!
